“This & That” may leave you wondering, What in the world is she talking about? Well, sometimes we grandmothers tend to ramble about one thing or another. Sometimes we change our minds right in the middle of a thought, and other times we forget what we were even talking about! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve walked into a room and forgotten why I went in there.
But one thing I will never forget is how much my Heavenly Father loves me. He loves you, too, more than you can ever imagine. And He loves us more than we deserve. I don’t know about you, but I sure have messed up a lot in this life. I’ve done things and said things that I wish I could take back. Here’s the amazing news – He doesn’t care about my past! Isn’t that crazy? He doesn’t remind me what a failure I have been. He doesn’t rub my nose in my mistakes. He just forgives and forgets every one of them. It’s the same for you, dear one! Nothing you do will cause Him to stop loving you. Nothing.
That’s what this blog is about – reminding both of us how precious we are in His sight.
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
(Lamentations 3:22-23)
“God’s Fruit Salad – A Divine Recipe for a Filling Life”
I’m excited to share that my book, “God’s Fruit Salad – A Divine Recipe for a Filling Life,” is finally out! It is a fresh look at the fruit of the Spirit for women of all ages. Sadly, our society is sending mixed messages to women. Many influencers bombard us with their ideas of what will make us happy and fulfilled. But these messages cause many women to doubt their value and worth. Do you feel that way? Are you one of those women who feels like you are drowning and maybe even invisible to God? Have you forgotten what His peace feels like? Maybe you have never felt His presence in the first place. What if you could take a break and just sit across the table with your grandma over a cup of coffee? She would smile and hold your hand, and tell you everything was going to be okay. Grandmas have a gentle way of making us feel loved and accepted.
That’s just what I want you to feel when you read this book – that someone cares and wants what is best for you. Just like any other loving grandma, I wish I could take away every struggle you face. But I can tell you, from many years of hard experience, that the sweetest fruit in a Christian’s life comes from the deepest pain.
God’s Fruit Salad is available at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and many other Christian booksellers.
